Scope of Works:
- External works including brickwork and new concrete driveways and carports designed for accessibility and usability, particularly for wheelchair users, in alignment with compliance requirements.
- Installation of ramps and connecting pathways to integrate with the carports and building access points, ensuring functional ingress/egress for all users.
Key Challenges:
- Delivering construction works within an existing operational community environment, given the site was part of Wesley Mission’s broader care and residential facilities.
- Navigating COVID-19 restrictions and workforce constraints that affected the health and aged care sector broadly, including supply chains, staffing and access coordination during peak pandemic periods.
- Managing safety and access to sensitive areas while undertaking demolition, remediation and new surface works.
